This is a two night, long weekend kayak camping paddle trip, staying at the James Bay Campground on Prevost Island. (one of the many campgrounds in the Gulf Islands National Park Reserve).

We will launch from Long Harbour, on Saltspring Island, after catching the ferry from Crofton.

We should meet before 8am at the Crofton Ferry Terminal.. in time to catch the 8:55am ferry to Vesuvius. We will then drive across the Island to launch from Ontario Place, off the main road to the Long Harbour Ferry Terminal.

We will then load up our kayaks and paddle down Long Harbour and across to James Bay. The trip across to James Bay is about 3.5 miles (1.5 hours). This is a B2 paddle
